Abandoned Adobe Homestead Burro Canyon

An Abandoned Adobe mud brick homestead on Burro Canyon in Las Animas County, Colorado. Adobe buildings were the preferred construction as the local history stretched back from Native Apache and Puebloan Indians through to the Spanish Conquistadores and European immigrants making their way along the Santa Fe Trail to California through the City of Santa Fe now in New Mexico. Once the metal roof corrodes the mud bricks will quickly crumble in the elements.
