Even the most pessimistic can't imagine such a tragic end for a beetle, we don't yet know exactly how this happened, but there is no doubt that this individual (Heliotaurus ruficollis) suffered until death after the spines (Scolymus) penetrated his body directly and painfully, and at a difficult angle that made it impossible to escape from the inevitable predicament.
