A Shadow falls over the Bald Eagle

A beautiful adult bald eagle in a rehabilitation center in New York. Not long ago, the bald eagle population was on the brink of extinction. After years of hard work and conservation, their population is now booming across the United States and Canada. This bald eagle was found injured and is now being rehabilitated in a New York state park. Dark shadows from the natural leaves and man-made steel bars cross its face, framing a squinting eye.
