A Nation in Limbo
On May 20, 2022, Izanullah and his son were seen riding a motorcycle back to their home in Shah Mazar after working in the fields. Shah Mazar is a village in Afghanistan that has been affected by ongoing conflict and economic challenges. The use of motorcycles for transportation is common in rural areas, providing a practical means for families to travel short distances. Agricultural work remains a primary source of livelihood for many families in such regions. This scene reflects the daily life and resilience of rural Afghan families amidst the broader socio-economic difficulties facing the country.
