A Nation in Limbo
On June 10, 2021, the village of Dara-E-Noor in Nangarhar Province was bathed in the soft light of dusk, creating a serene atmosphere amidst the ongoing challenges faced by its residents. The landscape, characterized by rolling hills and traditional Afghan architecture, provided a picturesque view as the day transitioned into night. Despite the beauty of the setting, the village was not untouched by the conflict that affected much of Afghanistan, with security concerns lingering in the background. The evening light illuminated the resilience of the local community, who continued to navigate daily life amid uncertainty. This scene captures a moment of tranquility in a region often marked by turmoil and strife.
