A Jumping Spider Considers its Snacking Options
Jumping spiders, such as this Pelegrina aeneola, famously take down and consume prey that are much larger than themselves as a matter of course. However, in late fall in Canada feeding opportunities can be few and far between. Notwithstanding this, our Jumper eventually decided to move on and leave the aphid in peace.
