A hungry Black Bear feasts on red berries

A hungry Black Bear (Ursus americanus) feasts on red Hawthorn berries. It is late September in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, when bears need to eat as much as they can in preparation for winter hibernation. The big bear climbed a very steep cliff trying to reach these red berries. He caused small rock slides as held on precariously for footing. He did reach them of course. He was extremely determined.
