22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
A colorful view of these enormous grain silos. Camera: Nikon D3500.
I took the photo from this angle to make it more interesting and to put emphasis on the beautiful colors and cylindrical shapes of the silos. I also wanted the viewer to take notice of the construction of the silos, including the steel panels, rivets, and seams. The silos are about 70 years old. Their original color was gray. Now they have been transformed into a fantastic work of art thanks to "The Shine Bright Saginaw Mural Project".
