A bald eagle looks back while standing on the ice in southeast Alaska
I spent five days photographing bald eagles in southeast Alaska. Enjoying a late season salmon run, as many as 2000-3000 eagles gather in the area in fall, making the largest congregation of eagles in the world. This one fed on a salmon on the ice before looking back and taking off.
