Boatswana, October, 2023, Okavango Delta. Canon 5D IV; Canon 70-200mm, f2.8 lens. While on the water, in the Delta, I observed a wake moving with rapidity towards an Impala drinking water. I began shooting as the wake neared shore. Before the Impala, as responsive as they are, could flinch, the Crock had her. The Crock tossed the Impana into the air breaking her into pieces several times so that the Crock could swallow the Impala ; Crocks do not chew their kills, they swallow them or large pieces.
